Isuru Salt Industries (Pvt) Ltd commenced operations in 1999 and has gone through many changes to meet the demands of the modern day salt user. With our experienced team we operate a simple but effective strategy.

Our salt is unrivaled in quality, value, and consistency.

Operating from our office and warehousing in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, the family-run business caters to many market requirements and specialises in salt for use in general food manufacturing applications.

1999
Isuru Salt Industries History
Isuru Salt Founded

From humble beginnings, the Proprietor, Mr. Padmathilake purchased packeted salt from salt packers in Hambantota and started distributing them in a hired vehicle to selected areas in Southern Province, Uva Province, Sabaragamuwa Province & Eastern Province.

2002
The Isuru Brand
Isuru Branding

Purchased 50Kg sacks from bulk salt suppliers in Hambantota, built a small cadjan hut and started repackaging them under the "Isuru Salt" brand.

2003
IDB Assistance
Industrial Development Board

Purchased a machine which can process 5 Tons of salt per day through the Industrial Development Board.

2006
New Machine
Packaging Machinery

Invested on another machine for packing.

2007
Lorry for transportion
Purchased a New Lorry

Invested on a lorry for transportation.

2009
Building of the factory
Factory Premises

Built a large building in the same premises for the entire process of manufacturing and packing of salt.

Isuru Salt Industries is an ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP certified fully equipped factory and a trusted household brand in Sri Lanka. Reputed companies like Arpico & Freelan do their private label products in this processing facility.
